DESCRIPTION:In het schooljaar 2024-2025 organiseert het Kenniscentrum Hoogbegaafdheid bijna elke maand een international webinar. Tijdens die webinars is Engels de voertaal. Deze webinars zijn bedoeld voor educatieve professionals en zorg- en hulpverleners die beschikken over een brede kennisbasis met betrekking tot hoogbegaafdheid\, maar niet over de mogelijkheid beschikken om deel te nemen aan internationale in-person activiteiten zoals grote internationale congressen. Op 17 februari 2025 geeft Dr. Del Siegle het webinar ‘Sifting Through the Essentials of Gifted Education for Talent Cultivation: Separating the Wheat from the Chaff’. \nOver het webinar\nIt is the nurturing of gifts and talents that truly makes a difference in children’s lives\, along with the benefits they contribute to society. In this presentation\, we will explore three essential components of talent development that foster healthy growth and maintain student motivation and engagement. These include access to advanced content\, and intellectually stimulating learning environment\, and opportunities to explore interests and passions. \nOver de spreker\nDr. Del Siegle is the Lynn and Ray Neag Endowed Chair for Talent Development in the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut (UConn) and director of the Renzulli Center for Creativity\, Gifted Education\, and Talent Development. He is among a small group of university professors who has been honored as a teaching fellow.
