Children in today’s world are trying to integrate the experiences of the pandemic with what is “normal” from their perspective. Anxiety seems to have become the norm rather than the exception for children. This session explores the interplay between gifted characteristics and the biological and situational response sets consistent with anxiety. Parents and educators will develop a set of tools and strategies based upon research and best practices in education toward prevention and intervention to allow them to identify, understand and respond to all types of anxiety.
Intended Audience: K – 12 Classroom Teachers, School Counselors, Psychologists, Social Workers, G& T Coordinators and Specialists, Parents
